When Breezy Mama Beth got pregnant, she and her husband couldn’t have been happier. They had been waiting a long time for this, and they couldn’t be more excited to welcome their new addition. Their baby, was pretty excited too, because he arrived early, at 28 weeks, 2 days and weighing a mere 2 lbs 12 oz. Named Valen, he stayed in the NICU for the next three months, and grew stronger and stronger as each day passed. When Beth and her husband, Brandon, were finally able to bring Valen home, they settled into family life, and got to know one another, outside of the hospital. Happy, yet nervous of having their newborn home without nurses to help, Beth looks back and remembers some of her favorite must-have items that made life a whole lot easier. I can’t believe the holidays are upon us . . . as a shopper, one of my favorite “seasons” of the year.  There are so many deals out there and with alternative ways to shop, you barely have to get out of your pajamas!  However, my favorite part of the holiday shopping hustle and bustle is sipping hot cocoa while chatting and watching family and friends scour different shops to find the best finds and original gifts for their loved ones.  Hmmm . . . with “best finds” and “original” in mind, I really wanted to discover special things that highlighted Etsy’s values in authorship and provenance in original, organic, and handmade goods.  Enjoy my gift guide and Happy Holidays!

When I was pregnant with my first child, I had a dream–a dream where my house was filled with the coolest, vintage inspired, toys. They’d be wooden, and there wouldn’t be any plastic or super bright colors to be seen. Well, as mothers, we all know how this dream ends. I woke up. And realized, that it was almost impossible to have a house free of super bright colored plastic toys.
