Once reserved for child actors and athletes, homeschooling has become much more mainstream. For various reasons, more and more families are choosing to go this route, instead of sending their children to traditional schools. But what exactly is homeschooling? Can anyone do it? And are homeschooled kids on the same level, both socially and academically with those who attend traditional schools? Breezy Mama turned to Jenn Olmstead, who has chosen to homeschool her three children, for answers.
Can you give us the definition of what homeschooling is, exactly?
The simple answer to this question is, teaching your children at home, not sending them to a public or private school.
