Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Bathroom Wipes–makes cleaning (almost) fun!

April 29, 2009 By Alex

scrubbing-bubblesI don’t know about you, but I seem to only find time to do a thorough cleaning of the bathroom once every two weeks. In between, I keep a tub of antibiotic wipes and mop down the sink tops, toilet and sink. But then the wipe is gross and you have to gingerly carry it to the trash can so it doesn’t drip on the floor. And then there’s the question of how clean is the countertop really getting? But then I found the Scrubbing Bubbles Flushable Bathroom Wipes. Made for the bathroom, they not only get your tile, toilet, and sink sparkling, but you can also do your chrome and mirrors with them as well. And the best part? You can flush them in the toilet. How sweet is that?

Add the Aerolatte to Your Morning Mix

April 22, 2009 By Chelsea

aerolatteFor those mornings when your bed is just too cozy to leave, I have the perfect temptation: The Aerolatte. Once you heat your milk (I prefer the convenience of the microwave), dip your Aerolatte into it for 20 seconds, then pour your perfectly frothed concoction onto your coffee and you’ve got the ultimate way to start your day. Spruce it up with sugar, sweetener or some Mexican chocolate and suddenly you’ll be surprised to catch yourself looking forward to waking up. Get a hold of yours by clicking here.

breezy_deal1Breezy Tip: Find yourself having to reheat your coffee throughout your crazy morning routine? A little tip I learned from Breezy Mama Mindy is to keep your coffee in a travel mug even around the house so it stays nice and warm for each delicious sip.

The DustBuster–a household necessity

April 8, 2009 By Alex

dustbusterAs I talk to more and more of my mommy friends, I’m realizing an alarming fact—not too many of them own a DustBuster! I am so alarmed that I want to get it out there, to make sure everyone knows—if you have a kid, you MUST invest in one. Rechargeable, cordless, this is one of life’s greatest inventions. You come back from the playground and your kid takes off his shoes inside, only to dump sand everywhere? Grab the DustBuster. You give your kid a treat in the car seat only to find crumbs everywhere? Grab the DustBuster. Your kid chucks his bowl of cheerios on the ground? Grab the DustBuster. Simply said—go get one!

breezy_deal1Breezy Mama Tip: Make sure you get a cordless one—life ain’t so easy when you have to figure out where to plug it in. Here’s one at Amazon for only $14.99.

Why you need Oxi Clean

March 31, 2009 By Alex

oxi-cleanSimply put, Oxi Clean rules. Seriously. When my son was a baby, I didn’t know about the magic of the detergent, and thus, 90% of his onesies had a nice yellow stain on the back. Then, one day, I was educated. I was complaining to a friend about how baby poop stains, she simply said, “Go get some Oxi.” I did, and have never looked back. I keep a tub mixed with water and Oxi in the laundry room and whatever gets stained gets thrown in (make sure to keep whites and colors separate) to soak until laundry day. The entire tub then gets chucked in the washer. Stains? Gone. Completely. Now that my son is three, his grass, ice cream, blood, mud—you name the stain—item goes in, along with the baby’s—yep you guessed it—poopy onesies. Look at the pictures and see for yourself by clicking here!

Eat This, Not That! For Kids! By David Zincezenko with Matt Goulding / Rodale Press

March 25, 2009 By Alex

eat-thisEat This, Not That! has to be one of the greatest, most interesting books that you can read for your kids. Filled with facts about what to and what not to give your children to eat, your mind will be blown away by the foods that are bad. Think those apple chips are better than goldfish crackers? Think again! Goldfish only have five grams of fat per serving where the apple chips have seven. What about Taco Bell? You would normally give the kid a soft taco over a crunchy taco, right? Nope—Fresco Crunchy Beef over Ranchero Chicken are the way to go. Broken up into sections covering eating out, snack food, prepared food and food you cook, this book is indispensible. It even suggests fun family activities that help you lose weight. I keep mine on the coffee table and when someone picks it up, mom or not, they are hooked for at least the next half hour. Click here to pick up yours.

breezy_deal1Breezy Tip: Want to see if your child’s favorite snacks are good for him? Go to Snackwise.org—by filling in the nutritional content of the food item, the site tells you if the snack is good, bad or decent.
