Have you ever met anyone that made you want to do better? You hear them speak and you’re instantly convinced that you need to do more for the world we live in? They make you strive to be a better person? Kimberly Parry is one such person. The founder of Kimberly Parry Organics, a USDA Certified Organic line of beauty and bath products, the woman is amazing.
I was meeting with Kimberly for my “real job” — she was creating a custom scent for a spa that I work for in my public relations job. The Spa Director, who was a recent hire, wanted to use all Kimberly Parry Organics products in the spa, and she wanted me meet Kimberly in person so I could find out why. It took about five minutes to get the answer, not only is the woman passionate about living an organic lifestyle, but she wants to bring that lifestyle to you, and in doing so, wants to create the world a better place to live.
Kimberly started her line when she became a mother–her daughter had terrible diaper rash and nothing would fix it. An avid gardener, she began to learn about the healing properties of plants. Kimberly also loves to cook–so she meshed the two passions and began to “blend”. From this, she came up with a healing balm for her daughter’s diaper rash and called it Bum Butter.” It worked so well that she had friends asking for it, and then friends of friends and then. . . you can guess the rest.
Kimberly decided to take her love of blending, where she “gets caught up in the experience, not the chemistry,” to the next level. Today, along with Bum Butter, she has a slew of organic luxurious spa products for both you and baby. Everything is made fresh to order–it’s an artisan process, creating small batch formulations. All of the infused oils are steeped and cold processed, which don’t kill the nutritional value of the botanicals used. Kimberly Parry Organics are created in her US Certified Organic Facility, using products that are sourced from organic certified farms using fair trade practices. Even the packaging is recyclable and the inks are soy-based.
If that weren’t enough, she’s also working with St. Jude Hospital to create a soothing balm for cancer patients suffering from radiation burns. And her latest endeavor? Kimberly Parry’s “Sea Organics” line is endorsed by Jean-Michel Cousteau (yeah–as in ocean explorer’s Jacques Cousteau’s son) because it’s so pure.
And after ALL that, her products are fabulous. I’ve used the body oil, which magically rubs in without leaving a greasy residue, as well as the hand and foot balm, which feels like heaven as goes on your feet. Truly amazing.
See, I told you you’d like her.
