A Few of My Favorite (Green) Things

In celebration of St. Paddy’s day, I thought that I would showcase a few of my favorite green things–green as in the actual color, that is. I’ve always been a sucker for green, so anything with it catches my eye. And, these days, it’s catching my eye a lot. We can find green on everything from bedding to shoes–the color seems to be hot, hot, hot.

Happy Saint Patrick’s Day, and don’t drink too much green beer–you’ve got kiddos to wake up to! –Alex

Havaianas Flip Flops
I have more pairs of Havaianas than any sane woman would need in her lifetime–seriously, I am obsessed. And these green ones are one of my favorite colors–frivolous and fun, they brighten up any outfit. St. Patrick’s Day means that spring is right around the corner–which then translates into me wearing nothing on my feet other than flip-flops. Can’t wait. Charm Necklace with Gift Envelope
Recently, I was in Las Vegas for a bachelorette party when I strolled into Urban Outfitters. I saw these charm necklaces which I thought were too precious. No, it isn’t green, but the clover reminds you of green, right? Each necklace comes with a quote, like this one of the 4 leaf clover–it says, “A friend is like a 4 leaf clover, hard to find and lucky to have.” How cute is that? I was going to get one for Breezy Mama Maya (whose birthday is today!) but alas, there was only one left and it was broken. Good thing because her husband bought her this one from Tiffany’s instead. . . Charm Necklace with Gift Envelope, $9.99 (on sale from $16.99). Click here to purchase from Urban Outfitters.

Gladiola Tote
If you’re like me, the diaper bag/purse thing isn’t really your deal. I love the purse, but I need a place to stash diapers. I like the diaper bag idea, but I need a purse. So, when I saw this Gladiola Tote, I was mesmerized. Amy Michelle says that she created the tote for moms on the go, and I really think she did! With features such as pockets for bottles, an included changing pad, plus pockets for you, credit card slots, and a key ring, I don’t know how much more one could need. And, how fabulous is this green? Love it! Gladiola Tote by Amy Michelle Go Totes, $135. Click here to purchase.

Comfort Silkie Ribbon Blankie
And, I save my absolute favorite for last, because, I seriously don’t know what I’d do without this blanket. My daughter has the green one, and I am constantly amazed about the powerful, soothing effect it has when she puts the tag in her mouth. Yes, she sucks the tag, while stroking another tag between her fingers. It has traveled with us to hospitals, to Canada, to the neighbor’s house, etc. and it’s always a lifesaver. Order one up for a prego friend–she’ll love you for it. Comfort Silkie Ribbon Blankie, $17.00. Click here to purchase from Comfort Silkie.
