When I was growing up, every Sunday, almost without fail, my mom would pack my brother and I up and drive the half hour to my grandparents house where us kids would accompany our grandma to church. After, we’d head back to their house, play tennis and on very special occasions, my grandma would serve this chili for lunch. I loved it, and now that I can cook, I have no idea why it was reserved for special occasions. It’s SO easy to make, and the ingredients are staples.
