On a top shelf in a corner of my closet is a stack of my favorite baby clothes from each of my five children. Though the youngest (twins) are only 22 months, one outfit is nearly 9 years old, since my oldest child is pretty close to that birthday. Most of the clothes are either what my newborn babies at the time came home wearing from the hospital or an outfit they wore so often in their first few weeks of life that it has become symbolic of that stage and, well, I just couldn’t part with the clothes.
What’s funny about those first six weeks of life with a new baby is even though it’s one of the most challenging times, it is one I miss so much. Snuggling up and smelling their sweet scent and the only thing on their mind, in addition to food, is your love for them.
All of my little ones have sensitive skin like me and it wasn’t until my baby shower, nearing a decade ago, that I first heard of Dreft, a specially formulated laundry detergent for baby’s skin.
