Breezy Mama’s Etsy Guru, Maria is back, this time with products to help you throw the perfect party–all of which are available on Etsy, of course . . .
Ever wonder how your seemingly “perfect” friend is able to put her parties together in such a coordinated, styled manner you might even find it featured in a Martha Stewart magazine?
Planning a “picture perfect” party this Spring can be easy with the help of several shops on Etsy! Since planning my own daughters’ birthdays and starting an event photography business, I found there were certain key elements every “perfect” party had. From birthdays to spring showers and holidays, here is my list of Etsy shops to help you pull together a coordinated, styled and well-appointed celebration.
First, having a theme is a great way to get your search started on Etsy. Simply search for exactly what you want, for example, “bee printable birthday invitations”. One of my favorite Etsy shops is Anna and Blue Paperie, whose shop comes up on this search. She offers a huge variety of customizable, printable, modern party designs from invites to stationary and everything in between. Here is one of my favorite designs named the Sweet As Can Bee Collection ($30) (photo above), which can be used for every type of event like a baby shower or engagement party. In this collection, you get everything from invite to bottle wrappers, banners and favor tags which takes care of nearly all of your decor. What more can you ask for?

Next, signage for tables or designated areas for food, drinks and desserts may seem self-explanatory for guests, but make very cute and personalized details beyond paper tent signs. One of my favorite ways of signing a party is with chalkboard decals and posts ($18) from BradensGrace. They are fun and can be used over and over for many different applications including organizing your pantry!

Paper goods are another necessity when organizing a party. Recently, I shopped Dimestore Buddy and stocked up on these awesome polka dot paper straws, chevron favor bags and colorful baker’s twine ($3.50-$6). They come in a wide array of colors and are perfect for serving up your favorite drinks and packaging edible and non-edible party favors. The best part is if you have any left over, they are cute to use for fun picnics at the beach or playground!
Lastly, something sweet to either send off as thank you’s for your guests or top your favorite cake with. These beautifully handmade bee cake toppers ($20) by Parker’s Flour Patch compliments the Sweet As Can Bee theme above perfectly, but check out what her whole shop has to offer. You’ll find flawlessly hand crafted fondant toppings from owls and fairies to sombreros and mustaches; there is surely a design in her shop that would fit any celebration.
Coordinating all of these key elements can really make your party stand out to your guests and on camera. The most beautifully photographed parties are ones where these elements have played important roles in creating excitement and surprise in your guests whether they be 1 or 99 as well as be perfect backgrounds for all of the fun.
To keep the party planning rolling, follow these tips.
- When purchasing printable party packages, ask the owners where they recommend printing if not with your own printer for color accuracy.
- Be aware of shipping schedules and contact the shop owner to ensure your item’s availability before ordering.
- When purchasing edibles, don’t be afraid of contacting the shop owner for their sources for ingredients and how items will be shipped to ensure freshness. The good ones will let you know exactly their shipping process and what you should do upon receipt.
