It’s the MOTHER of all holidays! The one day you step away from the diapers and lay in bed reading your People/Us Weekly as you anxiously await your hubby and kids to deliver your half caf/ half decaf, double espresso soy mocha along with granola with yogurt and cinnamon role from the Pannikin as they then shower you with gifts (hint, hint honey!). In fact, the ONLY time things will pause to momentarily not be all about YOU is to celebrate the woman who started it all: Your Mom. Check out Breezy Mama’s gift suggestions for her or get ideas for your wish list to forward on to the hubby because you deserve the happiest of Mother’s Days!

Tivo
I can never say enough positive things about the power to watch an hour show in 45 minutes or less when equipped with the ability to fast forward through commercials. Plus, Mom never has to stress about missing Modern Family as it will be recorded, waiting patiently until after the kids are fast asleep. And don’t even get me started on having the latest Sesame Street ready to go in a moment’s notice. In short, every woman NEEDS a Tivo in her life!

Sea Glass Bracelet
Let every day be a day at the beach. Created from glass vessels that have been swept away by the ocean and then broken, tumbled and washed smooth by the action of sand, waves, and currents, this dazzling bracelet is recycling at its most fashionable.

My wish for Mothers Day is a day of rest and pampering after completing my first ever half marathon the day before. Cartoons and Disney movies in bed all day, in our “jam jams” of course, with my little one would be and awesome day! Then take out later on in the evening with the family. A quiet, stay at home day :)

I have wanted a necklace of this sort for a long time, definitely not something my hubby would think to get. I’m not a big jewelry wearer, but I would just really love to have something with my kids’ names on them for everyday <3

I’m wishing for a bubble bath, control over the remote and shoulders free of spit-up. In case that’s not possible, I’ll be more than happy to spend a leisurely day with my husband and the two best kids we could have ever asked for.

Time with my inspiration to be a mom in the first place, my mommy! Started a tradition last year of doing a spa day with my mom. No kids, massages and some much needed R and R. So simple yet so rewarding.

Selfishly, for Mother’s Day I would like to have an entire day going back in time to when life seemed simple, responsibility was minimal and long walks with friends was a daily luxury taken for granted. Although because my life, needs and wants have now all completely changed, when it comes down to it, my REAL wish for Mother’s Day is to be surrounded by an abundance health, peace and happiness…

I love earings and necklaces!! Would be nice to get something like that this year! Also,I love the cards my husband writes me on special dates! He’s very romantic and dedicated! I asked him to take my son and I to the children’s museum in San Diego because we’ve never been there and I have been planing a trip there for so long. Thought it would be special to have a simply family fun day!! :)

My higher level wish is that each Mother in our family (and in my life) feels loved, valued, peaceful and cherished on this day. Realistically, I hope that the big family birthday/ mother’s day goes smoothly and I don’t get stuck with the dishes!!

My wish this mother’s day would be to be able to take my mom on a small get away. She deserves one. She lives in AZ and is too far to visit on a regular basis, our phone calls are interrupted by the chattering of my 3 children, and I want her to know how valuable and loved she is. She is the mother of 2 daughters of her own design, 2 step daughters, and 6 grandchildren to date! Of the gifts you suggested, I love the Nestling Birds with 3 babies and the initial it necklace by Boo’s By the Sea.

On a selfish level, I’d love a spa treatment, or even just a few moments of peace and quiet, without anyone yelling, “MOM!!!!” But I’d still have to admit that having that kind of happy noise is why I became a mom in the first place. My bigger wish is for all moms – especially those who have to be far away from their children or who have lost a child – to feel comforted, cherished, and at peace that day. Best wishes to Chelsea and Alex and all of the great moms on this board! xoxo Jeanne

unfortunately, all I wish for is peace. With a terminally ill hbd, two jobs since he is on hospice and cannot work, two children to help get into college (grads next month), a very angry 12 yo boy having to watch as his dad is dying, a two yo, and foreclosure notice…all I want is peace! sadly instead I will be working and since I cannot afford daycare, the two yo will be at work with me (sigh!) I pray God will grant me some type of reprieve from the chaos that is my life! The ultimate mommy day gift!

My mom is very special, she has had a very ruff year already, she is the strongest person I know and could really use a nice relaxing day, I wish I could do mire for her. I have helped make this a rough year and I am sorry for that.
