There’s More than Roses this Valentine’s Day

With Valentine’s a few short days away, break away from the norm and get something OTHER than roses this year. Roses are sweet and romantic, but why not spice it up and get something out of the ordinary (but still within budget)? Breezy Mama contacted Jaime Beck, the daughter half of the mother/daughter duo of Whimsey Florals for some suggestions. And now, I present you Jaime . . .

If you normally only get bouquets for the special day and wonder why it’s so expensive, all flowers are marked up by at least 50% during the Valentine’s Day season. (One reason to schedule your wedding at some OTHER time. A Valentine’s wedding–romantic, yes, cheap, no.) The flowers below offer some inexpensive alternatives–all of these flowers come in an array of colors besides red; for example: purple, pink, yellow and white. They are different flowers for Valentine’s Day, but are not cheesy like carnations or dyed flowers that you will see during the season.
