If you had your friends over for dinner and noticed not a single person liked the meal you prepared, would you serve it again? Likewise, Breezy Mama has been dishing out what we feel is fulfilling scoop, but you don’t always bite. We’re often shocked by what few appeared to be interested in (in other words, didn’t click to “read more”) and other times are pleasantly surprised by a post we wanted to share, but weren’t so sure you’d care. And we can’t thank you enough for all of the support this first year and for coming back for more helpings! Twas the week before Christmas and all through the house, several creatures were stirring and there was another stain on your blouse. The stockings were hung by the chimney with care, but if you didn’t get a moment to yourself, there’d be nothing in there. With time to kill before the children are all snug in their beds, here’s the holiday TV schedule so you can Read More…
Generally when my husband chases the family around capturing them on his Flip Cam, I try to stay out of view. Recently, however, I saw myself on video and it turns out I am fifteen years older than I have in my head. Naturally, I cried a thousand tears (not really) and then Breezy Mama turned to my favorite derm, Dr. Vi of Comprehensive Dermatology out of curiosity (ahem) on the options that are out there. Plus, she answers questions sent in from other moms.
I look a lot older than I thought, Vi. I mean REALLY older. I’m not doing Botox. Just not (yet). But can you give me the info? Where are the best places to get injected so you can still make a facial expression?

Brian (4th from right) knows fish.
I’ll be the first to admit that fish is not my thing. In fact, until I met my husband the only fish I ate was a tuna fish sandwich. Since he’s half Japanese, that wasn’t going to work and he was able to bring me over to the dark side where I now love sushi, and can muscle down a small fish steak. But this recipe is the exception to the rule. Our friend Brian’s creation, it makes fish tasty, with a slightly crunchy exterior and a moist interior. Take it from me, the person who would never order a fish dish in a restaurant–you’ll like it.

Presenting . . . Memphis!
In our quest to provide you with ideas for the perfect family vacation, this week we take a look at Memphis. I had first heard about how cool the city was when I was working at my BKY (Before Kids Years) job at a magazine–our printer was there and all of the “higher ups” in the production department would scramble at the chance to do a “press check.” (Translation: go have fun in Memphis.) Each trip they would come home raving about how insane the city was, with so much to do and a great night life to boot. So, Breezy Mama turned to the expert–Terri Richardson from Memphis City Mommy, who was born and raised in the city, for the best family things to do while visiting. And now a word from Terri . . .
The 10 family things to do in Memphis are Read More…
Generally with each holiday season comes packages and me packing on the pounds. Breezy Mama turned to the first female to win The Biggest Loser Season 5, Ali Vincent, who recently wrote Believe It, Be It to get her tips on keepin’ it healthy as best as you can during the time of fudge, ginger bread men, cookies, pie and more (hello—she lost 112 pounds herself!!!) — plus, a good game plan for enjoying some seasonal treats, too.
What are your tips for eating healthy during the holiday season?

In my opinion, women are really easy to shop for–I had to pick and choose what would appear in this gift guide because I had so many favorites! However, even though (I think) the majority of women are easy to shop for, there’s always that ONE person on your list that may stump you. Fear no more dear reader, as there is bound to be at least one item listed below that will be perfect. And Ladies, don’t be shy about forwarding this post to your husbands letting them know what you wouldn’t mind opening this holiday season. Have fun!
