An absolute must is a great cocktail dress. You can’t go wrong with a classic LBD, little black dress. Depending on the occasion you can keep it classic with a string of pearls or jazz it up with a statement necklace and some serious heels! Investing in chic cocktail dress will take you everywhere from date night to office party to high school reunion!

All in the Bag…

A good bag that can go from weekday to weekend is also a fashion necessity. Examine your lifestyle needs to help you determine what size and shape would be best for you. I am often running from meeting to meeting, then directly from the office to an event so I need something that is practical but chic. I love big bags that can carry all my documents, make-up bag, and whatever else I stuff in there! Don’t be afraid to play with different textures and fabrics, practical doesn’t need to be boring!

Be Jeweled…

Finally, invest in a signature piece of jewelry, whether it’s a strand of pearls, exotic earrings or a beautiful cocktail ring. I find that jewelry always enhances a look and in my mind is a fashion necessity. Also, the special thing about a great piece of jewelry is that after you have enjoyed it you can pass it on to a daughter, granddaughter, best friend or any loved one!

You Glow Girl…

Something else worth investing in that doesn’t exactly go in your closet is a great skincare regimen. Your skin is something that you treat from the inside out so be sure you are drinking loads of water and eating healthy, getting as many vitamins and minerals as you can. Couple that with a great moisturizer and cleanser to keep your skin glowing and fresh. Showing off glowing, flawless skin is the best accessory you can have!
