Isn’t it crazy how we all remember where we were when we saw the Thriller video? I remember we had a slumber party when one of my friend’s parents got the extended version of the video on VHS. This is what I’m thinking about today — our parents had Elvis, we had Michael Jackson. Do you think the next person who is going to change the culture is out there right now?

I’ve got to admit, I’m so emotional over this! On the way to drop off, every station was playing his songs and I’d well up. Crazy 80’s child.

Thriller was the first cassette I ever bought and I remember the night Thriller premiered on MTV I was at a birthday party sleepover with friends and we were so excited to see it. My seven year old doesn’t get why they keep talking about him and I told him growing up in the eighties, he was the biggest thing in pop culture.
