This week it seems to be graham crackers and fruit. Often times it’s the fruit leather or an Odwalla Bar. I think my kids just love hearing the word snack no matter what is being served. :)

Banana and peanut butter is my “go to” snack. It’s healthy and yummy and fills my boys up!

When we are on the run, goldfish crackers and string cheese. If we are at home, I make smoothies: milk or juice, whey protien powder, berries, banana, a scoop of ground flaxseed and approx 4 oz of frozen chopped spinach(yes- I said spinach!). You cant taste the spinach at ALL and the dark berry color masks the green. They drink it up and I sit there with a smug look on my face knowing they are eating something I could NEVER otherwise get them to eat!!!

my favorite snacks for them are different than their favorite snacks, of course. but we do agree on a few of them…string cheese, graham crackers, organic yogurt rice krispie bars (bought at Target), yogurt drinks, pb&j in a ritz type cracker (organic though), pirates booty, grapes, peaches, and all berries!!!

but their favorites are M & Ms and Smarties…;-(

Z-Bars hands down! Yogurt drinks are a big hit, too.

My daughter likes the peanut granola bars from Costo as well as Life and Special K cereals.

Pistachios with the 3 and 5 year old buy me a lot of time if I let them get them out of the shell themselves! They love it. The baby loves Earth’s Best Sunny Days snack bars and string cheese. The kids love the cereal bars from Trader Joes — any flavor. Also, another fun one is “ants on a log”. Peanut butter on celery with raisons on top. And lots of fruit … they all fortunately love fruit. We actually have to hide it!

FYI –I just went and wrote many of the items above on the grocery list! Thanks everyone!

All 3 of my kids love the baked, whole grain, goldfish. My toddler also loves cheese & peanut butter crackers, my 6 year old loves yogurt drinks & grapes and my 9 year old loves to help me make smoothies(however, I always manage to give him some kind of errand to get him out of the kitchen for a minute so I can sneak in wheat germ, soy milk and other sneaky healthy ingredients he wouldn’t normally eat). I love cooking with the sneaky chef cookbook. These days I am sneaking in pureed spinach, pureed white beans & wheat germ. I think they are the 3 easiest purees to hide.
