onions_chopped Mother of two and long time (we’re talking kindergarten) friend, Breezy Mama Anna says of her soup, “Seriously, the best you will ever have. You’ll never order again in a restaurant.”

Ingredients
4 large onions (I use the sweet onions)
6 TBSP of butter
2 boxes of Swanson’s Beef Broth (must be regular Swanson’s and NOT the organic kind)
2 teaspoons of sugar
3 TBSP of flour
1 cup of white wine (I use chardonnay)
french bread
Gruyere Swiss cheese

Directions
- Thinly slice the onions (I use my cuisinart and it takes about 1 minute).
- Place onions in a large soup pot with the 6 TBLS of melted butter. Cook on high (stirring frequently so the onions don’t burn) for around 20-30 min. You want them nice and brown.
- Stir in the sugar, flour, and both boxes of Swanson’s. Bring to a boil then turn down to a simmer with lid for 30 minutes.
- Add your wine.

Put sliced bread and cheese on top and broil in oven on high for about 5-10 min (or until cheese is melted and bread is toasty). YUM!!!!
