Ever Made an Octo Mom “Mistake”? Take Our Quiz!

toy_w_octopusDon’t get me wrong – Nadya Suleman – a.k.a. the single mother known as the Octo Mom, who gave birth to EIGHT babies in January and already had six kids (yeah, that makes 14!!!!) has invited her fair share of scrutiny by courting the media, but some of the things I have read about her that are intended to paint her as an “unfit” mother are a little preposterous and presumably made by people who clearly have never taken care of one or two kids (let alone 14…14!!!) 24 hours a day, seven days a week… after week…after week. Not that I’m a fan, but when it comes to the more ridiculous accusations made against her, take the Breezy Mama 8 (get it?) question quiz to find out how you would measure up! Click here.

So hilarious! And right on the money….I am no “octo-fan” but I guess in some ways I am in “octo-territory”!

I guess I’m in “octo-territory,” too. I got a score of 4/8 on the quiz. Oh well! I don’t really have any kids. I just thought I’d take the quiz to find out what kind of mother I would be. It was actually kind of fun! Octomom makes me glad I’m not in her situation, too. I’m sure her 8 babies are all cute and everything, but how does a single mother with 14 kids do it? I mean, I do you care for 8 squirming, screaming, hungry newborns all by yourself while feeding, clothing, housing, and sending off to school 6 older children at the same time, with very little money, no husband, and Government assistance? I would literally go insane! What the heck was this crazy woman thinking? And why didn’t her fertility clinic turn her down or set severe limits on the number of babies she could have? I feel sorry for these children. I’m sure one of them will likely write a tell-all book someday and make millions selling their story. Octomom should have ordered a reborned baby doll if she was that desperate to have another baby. That’s just my personal opinion, anyway. Or, she could have done what I did and ordered a 21″ Berjusa Original Newborn Baby anatomically correct baby doll from http://www.crscrafts.com and a 22″ open-eyed Sunshine Berenguer anatomically correct newborn baby doll from http://www.thedollsuperstore.com, bought them a bed and all of their clothes and diapers, and played pretend Mommy with them. Okay, so that seems a bit creepy weird to some of you, and I understand, but wouldn’t it have been better for Octomom to be a pretend Mommy of newborn twin baby dolls than a real Mom to 14 children she might one day screw up? Don’t cry, McKenna and McKenzie! Mommy will see you soon!

Oh my God, you mean I am not, nor was never a perfect mom? They should come right away and take my children away from me. Oh wait, they are now 24 and 30, sigh. Oddly enough, and it would seem, against all odds, they are both lovely well adjusted young women. Dear God, the eldest is even a mother herself, and I saw toys strewn about the house on my last visit, and horrors, the child had a food stain on her dress.
I cannot say that I totally agree with having 14 children, in fact I am rather torn about the whole thing. I love my children but was unable to have more than the two. I am not even sure that I would have chosen to have more were it possible. But childbearing should be a personal choice. Granted there is the arguement that it is irresponsible to have that many children when you cannot financially afford to feed, cloth, and house them all on your own. But it boils down to the fact that it is a fait accompli. What is done is done, leave the woman alone.
